AZ is a Trekkie

Yesterday I got some Star Trek comics from Zander Cannon. AZ’s reaction when she saw what I brought home:

She curled up in her “reading cave” and stayed there for a couple hours.

Look Mama, it’s O’Brien! You must take a photo to document his presence!

Her favorite part is when Picard points at Riker’s beard. “Number 1…No, not you, Riker. The BEARD. The beard is Number 1!”

If Nancy was a cartoonist

This will probably be the last self-portrait I post for a while. Today is my birthday. Last year, a friend gave me a book of Bushmiller’s Nancy comics, and it inspired me to make this sketch based on Joe Brainard’s awesomely absurd work. Never got around to posting it until now.

As long as I’m posting little sketches, here are some caricatures I drew months ago, and just scanned today.

 

Jam Comic
