As you may recall, AZ’s A and B creatures are enemies locked in an eternal struggle. Antiosour “is a crazy bad guy. He doesn’t do anything but sit around looking mad. He can’t even really move around. He tries to take over the world by sitting on a stool and electrocuting people with his antenna, which can send signals through electrical wires.” Bonosour, the good guy, “is a birdie. He never gets electrified because the electric in his antenna goes back to Antiosour’s antenna.” Click here to see Isaac’s depiction of their epic struggle.

Tove Jansson’s illustration of this scene was once used on the back cover of an older edition, which was available in every English-speaking country except the U.S.
I just learned that (just now!) while searching for an image to post.

I also learned that there is a Moomin book that AZ and I have not read yet…apparently it is rare and out of print. It isn’t available at the public library, or on Amazon or Ebay. If anyone knows where I can find a copy, let me know! I’m too busy now to look into it much, but I’m sure AZ will want to read it eventually.

“NOONIN is kind of like a moomin. He lives next to the Lonely Mountains. he got locked in a cage for painting himself. He’s eating the bricks in the wall to try to get out of the cage! When he’s not in a cage he eats the bricks from peopl’s houses! Moomins and Snorks eat pancakes and raspberre jam, but noonin eats walls!!

NOONIN is also kind of like a snork and a hemulen. he was green before hhe painted himself!!!
